Schould I buy the iPad now or should I wait to see if it is as good as Apple is saying? Well here are some facts on the new baby of Steve Jobs, so you can make an informed decission about whether you should buy iPad or not.

The iPad is lightwaighted

People are surprised by the low weight of the iPad. It is comparable with a lighter, thinner unibody MacBook Pro. The speed of the device is still noticeably higher than for the iPhone 3GS. A disadvantage I have identified is the keyboard: You really have to get used to it because it doesnt give you feedback while you are typing. But it looks good.

As always, Apple has the advantage of superior design. This is what Steve Jobs is all about. As with the iPhone, Apple hopes that the iPad will not only be an essential lifestyle accessory.

The iPad = A big iPhone?

The iPad looks like a big iPhone. The new visually appealing apps and the starting price are something that should be mentioned as well. A camera is missing as well as multi-tasking, a built-in card reader, the lack of USB ports for direct connection of peripherals and the small storage space. The latter is a point that doesnt get mentioned quite oftene: Who fills the iPad with (HD) movies and similar memory-hungry media, has quickly filled the 64 GB even of the top model. If this is not a big problem for you, then you should consider to buy your iPad, this wonderfull gadget.
